Canyonlands-Island in the Sky
This is the view from the Grand View Point Overlook in the Island in the Sky district in Canyonlands National Park. This is one of the most awe-inspiring views in the world, in my opinion. The sky was cloudy, making the colors a little more muted than they would have been on a sunny day. Ed gave me a scare and sat on the edge of this rock ledge and looked out at the canyons in Canyonlands. He said that he experienced a bit of vertigo while he was standing on the edge.

Now, if we could stop "uglifying" things, my GREAT grandchildren might be able to see such magnificence.
WOW!!!! That is an awesome photo!! It looks like a giant handprint or something, I will have to check that out. Also, it kinda makes my heart pound and hands sweat to see how close you are sitting to the edge there - be careful! :) Very cool photos of your whole trip.
